You receive a fully tested replacement control board immediately, and then return your original board as the exchange core.

This listing is NOT a repair of your exact board and does not include a complete radio.

COMPATIBILITY (READ FIRST)

This listing is for Series II Bose Wave Music Systems.

✔ Compatible radios have a serial number ending in AC (located on the label under the radio)

✘ Radios with serial numbers ending in AE are Series III / IV and require a different board.

If your radio ends in AE, please see our separate Series 3/4 listing.

IMPORTANT

All Bose Wave Music Systems (AWRCC1, AWRCC2, Series 3, Series 4) were originally sold as stand-alone radios.

The Bose Multi-CD Changer was an optional accessory that required a Bose software update disc.

Every control board supplied through this exchange program has already been updated with the necessary software to communicate with a Bose 3-Disc Changer.

Day 1 — Purchase this listing.

Day 1–2 — Your replacement control board ships out immediately.

You install the replacement board in your radio.

Once installed, simply place your original board in the packaging and return it using the provided return instructions.

Typical turnaround time for customers is only a few days depending on shipping time.

CORE RETURN POLICY

This is an exchange service, which means your original control board must be returned.

Your returned board must be:

✔ Complete and intact 

✔ Not heavily modified 

✔ No missing components 

✔ No severe corrosion or water damage 

✔ No major solder damage or destroyed pads 

Accepted:

✔ Ribbon connector accidentally pulled off near the CD drive area (common issue)

CORES THAT MAY BE DECLINED

✘ Boards with missing capacitors or components 

✘ Boards with heavy repair attempts or destroyed pads 

✘ Burned or physically broken boards 

✘ Severe corrosion, flood damage, or contamination

CONDITION

All exchange boards are fully tested and guaranteed working before shipment.

Cosmetic appearance may vary slightly by series or production run, but functionality and compatibility are fully verified.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Bose Wave systems are controlled primarily by the remote. 

• Board style may vary slightly depending on production revision. 

• Some radios may behave slightly differently when cold vs warmed up — normal for aging electronics.

RETURNS

Because this is an exchange service, returns are accepted only if:

✔ The item arrives damaged 

✔ The board is not functioning properly

“Changed my mind” returns are not accepted.
